ADVANCED DRIVING THEORY COURSE

Three times per year, when there are enough waiting Associate Members, the Group runs a course of five, two hour, sessions on the theory of Advanced Driving.

Group Associate Members receive invitations to attend this optional, but highly acclaimed, course which covers the following subjects:

The Key Skills of Advanced Driving; the System of Car Control; Negotiating Bends; Road Positioning; Observation; Making Progress; Motorway Driving; Overtaking; Commentary (not compulsory on the test) and How to Pass the IAM Test.
Participants on this course are also given the opportunity to attend four practical demonstration and driving guidance sessions on Sunday mornings, if waiting for allocation to an Observer.
